Do you charge a registration/membership fee?
No there are no registration or membership fees.
How do I get a free listing on your site?
Click on 'My Account' on the top navigation bar. This will take you through to a profile page where you will be asked to input some basic information to build a profile. Once this is complete we will publish your listing within a couple of days.
Note the information that will show in your listings are as follows:
Your business summary text limited to 5 words
Your business address line 1
Your business email
Your business phone number.
If you have loaded images for your gallery and and text in your descriptions etc these will not show unless you upgrade your account. To upgrade your account click 'upgrade your account' at the top of your my content page. All information will be stored for you untill you choose to do this. Also if you are downgraded for not paying all your information will still be saved and you will not lose it.

The payments are subscription based and payments are recurring untill you cancel your payment. Once you have paid we will be notified and we will make your account a full page listing.
Taking a FULL page listing out is also an extremely cost effective way of promoting your business it allows you to update copy, add photos, web links, Twitter/FB links, special offers, events, job vacancies and work experience opportunities. Once you have set up your business profile it is simple and easy to create a full page and payment can be made there and then using PayPal...it couldn’t be easier!
How do I update my web page
Once you have created a business account (which only takes a few minutes) you can then simply log in and make changes to your profile copy and upload/remove photos as often as you like. It is as simple as using word on your PC or MAC.

How do I advertise on your site?
We offer many opportunities for advertising and promoting your business including banner ads, advertorials, page sponsorships and film. Up to date rate card is available to download here. Drop us an email via 'contact' on the site and we will talk you through the options and price structure. Our aim is to allow everyone the opportunity to promote their business here, so we have reduced prices for small businesses and independent retailers, community groups and local amenities.
I am a local charity - do I have to pay for a web page?
We allow charities and non-profits the opportunity to have a promotional page for free.
How long do advertisements stay on the site?
Banner advertising and advertorials are purchased by month. Business promotional pages are purchased by the year.
How do I pay?
Payments are made via PayPal subscriptions the specialists in online payments. Once you have chosen your page option you will be transferred to a payment link, where you can choose to pay for the year or through monthly subscription.
What size does my logo need to be?
You can load any size into the gallery. The website will resize your image automatically. However if you load very large images it will take much longer to load. Try keeping your images under 1mb.
What size and resolution do my photos need to by?
You can load any pixel size into the gallery as long as they are larger than 340 px wide. Your first image will be the listing image and the ratio for this needs to be square. if it is not some cropping will occur to allow for consistent listings.
How many images can I upload into my gallery?
You have space for 12 images. The first image is your listing image and wont show in the main gallery. the 2nd is your main profile image, the rest are your gallery images, We therefore recommend you upload a minimum of 2 images.
How do I get hold of Crouch End Cards?
Sign up here to become a card member then just send us an email and we will pop one in the post. If you would like to stock Crouch End cards in your local business please email us and we will happily come and visit and give the information required.
How do I promote my Crouch End card offer?
By subscribing and becoming a full business page holder you can update your promotions simply by logging onto the site. If you would like to give even more coverage to your promotion you can purchase advertising space in the form of banner ads and page sponsorship or perhaps you would prefer an advertorial to tempt your customers?
We also have stickers available to put in your windows to let customers know you have a card offer and we have a highlight article of the offers we LOVE.
How do I add an event?
Anyone can add an event as long as you have a full paid profile, are able to provide a named contact and contact details and the event is of genuine interest to the community.
If you are a charity, non profit or community group posting events is FREE, simply click on the 'add an event button' on the events calendar and create a profile (this will also give you a listing on the site). If you are an individual and this is a one off event, email us via 'contact' on the site.
If you are a business you need to create a business profile (which will automatically give you a listing on this site), simply click on the 'Add an event' button on the events page. If, when setting up your profile, you opt for a free listing you can add events for a one off payment of £25. If you have opted for a full business promotional page listings are free and you can manage your own content.
If you already have an account on this site simply log into your account, click on My Content and scroll down to events and click on enter event.

Non profits, community groups and local businesses can post volunteering opportunities for Free. Create a profile as before and when you edit your profile simply add an opportunity.
Note: you have to have a listing to be able to offer a volunteering post.
