The Conservation Volunteers

Practical conservation volunteers

Volunteers needed for The Conservation Volunteers Haringey. We run practical project days in Haringey's local green spaces and we need volunteers to come down and help us out. We currently go out every Tuesday (10am-3pm) and Thursday (10.30am-2.30pm) and we carry out all sorts of work. It could be building ponds, managing woodlands, cutting down invasive plants. The chances are you have seen our work but have just not realised. We work regularly in Finsbury Park, Parkland Walk, Coldfall and Queen's Wood and many many more. All volunteers welcome, no experience required. We provide trained leaders, tools, gloves, first aid, tea, coffee and biscuits. All you need is outdoor clothes, sturdy footwear and some lunch. Please get in touch, 020 8348 6005, m.bury@tcv.org.uk, www.tcv.org.uk/haringey.

Centre 404

Treasurer

Centre 404 is a busy, friendly and successful charity based in north London. We are looking for a new Treasurer and can offer the right candidate an enjoyable and rewarding experience in return for their time and commitment. We are looking for someone with the relevant skills and experience to become the Treasurer of our organisation. Our current Treasurer is looking to step down from his role in the summer of 2012 and is keen to work with a potential new Treasurer from early in the New Year to prepare for this role. This is an unpaid but rewarding role in an organisation that supports people with disabilities and their families.

Action For Kids

Volunteer Work Placement Scheme

Help a young adult to become more independent! If you have three hours or more spare during the working week you could join our Work Placement Scheme where you accompany a young adult with learning difficulties to and from their work placement and help them manage their work tasks. The placement is already set up at a local organization. Training and support are provided. It is very rewarding to see one of our young people becoming more confident and independent. Contact us for more information.
